How Do I Read Trend Matrix 360 Conditions?

The desktop development preview has four EMA directions and nine descriptive conditions across two independent panels.

What problem does this solve?

You want to read the two Trend Matrix panels and their four EMA directions.

Quick answer

The desktop development preview has two independent panels with EMA 9, 20, 50 and 200 and nine descriptive conditions. Long and Short describe direction, not trades.

Steps

  1. Find Trend Matrix 360 beneath Candle Pulse in Market Intelligence. Read each panel's timeframe chip separately; the documented choices are 1, 3, 5, 15, 30 and 60 minutes.
  2. Read the four EMA directions and the named condition together. Flat means movement stayed within the applicable Min Move threshold; it is different from missing history.
  3. Watch the forming tag: the newest candle and classification can change until that interval closes. When the market closes, read the Last timestamp rather than treating the panel as a fresh signal.
  4. Use each panel's timeframe chip or Settings → Market Intelligence → Trend Matrix 360 for its controls. EMA 9, 20 and 50 have separate Min Move settings in the development preview.
  5. Treat all nine conditions as moving-average descriptions of the selected S&P basket, never trade instructions. Candle Pulse's Fixed or Rolling mode does not alter them.

What you should see

Two panels can legitimately disagree because they use different candle durations. Loading, Warming up, Insufficient history and Data unavailable are distinct from a valid Mixed / Neutral result.

If it still doesn't work

If a displayed condition conflicts with its documented rule, report the interval, time, app version and a cleared screenshot. Never send Alpaca credentials.
