Market Watch 360 Support
How can we help you?
Find answers, connect your desktop app, learn the controls, or get help with a trial and license.
- What Is Market Watch 360?A Windows desktop application for viewing market breadth, weighted constituent movement, charts, and stock cards together. It displays and analyzes market information; it does not place trades.
- What Are the Windows System Requirements?Check the current release notes and installer requirements before choosing a Windows version. Exact supported versions must be confirmed for the release you use.
- How Do I Download Market Watch 360?The official customer download destination has not been connected to this local website. Do not use a download link unless it is supplied through an approved Market Watch 360 channel.
- How Do I Install the Application? The Windows installation steps depend on the approved installer and its signing state. The final customer installation guide is awaiting the release download process.
- First Launch: Understanding the Main ScreenThe main workspace puts Market Intelligence, an estimated S&P 500 weighted-move chart, five stock tabs, and compact stock cards on one screen.
- How Do I Connect My Market Data?Connect your own Alpaca account inside the Windows application. The website never asks for or stores your Alpaca credentials.
- How Do I Choose Which Stocks to Track? In the current development preview, Settings → Stocks & Tabs → Stock list opens Manage stocks. You can follow up to 30 S&P 500 stocks; release instructions still need a final walkthrough.
- How Do I Update the Application?Use only the update process supplied with your approved Market Watch 360 release. An automatic updater is not documented here.
- How Do I Create an Alpaca Account?Create and manage your account on Alpaca's official website. Alpaca controls its own onboarding, account eligibility, and identity checks.
- Where Do I Find My Alpaca API Credentials?Alpaca's Market Data API guide points account holders to the API Keys area in the Alpaca dashboard. Keep the key ID and secret private.
- How Do I Enter My Credentials in Market Watch 360?Use the desktop app's Connect → API Key workflow. Enter credentials locally in the app; never send them through this website or a support request.
- How Do I Test My Market-Data Connection? The Alpaca API Connection dialog includes a Test connection action and a connection status. A successful test is separate from saving or replacing credentials.
- Why Are My Credentials Not Working?Check that the key pair belongs to the selected Alpaca environment, remains active, and has the market-data access your account requires. Do not send the key or secret to support.
- What Is the Difference Between IEX and SIP?IEX is a single U.S. exchange. SIP refers to consolidated tape reporting from eligible U.S. exchanges; available real-time and historical access depends on the Alpaca plan and feed.
- Why Do My Prices Differ From Another Platform?Feed coverage, entitlements, timing, session, and quote selection can make two platforms display different prices.
- Why Does the App Say Market Closed?Market-session status and connection status answer different questions. A closed-market label does not by itself mean your data connection has failed.
- Why Are Some Bid or Ask Values Missing?Bid and ask availability depends on the security, session, provider feed, and the quote data returned to the application.
- Will Market Watch 360 Support More Data Providers?Alpaca is the currently supported market-data connection. Other providers are not available through the website or represented as supported here.
- Understanding Market BreadthMarket breadth summarizes participation in the selected stock basket, while weighted values show the contribution behind that participation.
- What Is the Weighted Index Chart Showing? The chart visualizes weighted movement for the selected basket. It is an analytical view, not an official calculation of the complete benchmark.
- What Does Index Weight Mean?Index weight estimates how much influence a constituent has under that index's methodology. A higher weight can make the same percentage move matter more.
- What Does Points per $1 Mean?Points per $1 is an estimated sensitivity: the approximate index-point effect associated with a one-dollar move in a constituent, using the app's reference inputs.
- What Is Effective Index-Point Contribution?Effective contribution relates a followed stock's move to its IVV-based weight and an estimated S&P point scale. It is not an official index reading or a trade signal.
- Why Can the Index Rise While More Stocks Fall?A smaller number of higher-weighted constituents can contribute more than a larger number of lower-weighted decliners. See the Learn article for a worked conceptual example.
- Why Is the S&P 500 Basket Sometimes 29 Stocks Rather Than 30?Check the selected basket and current application state before diagnosing a count. There is not one assumed explanation for a 29-security view.
- How Do S&P 500, Nasdaq-100, and Dow 30 Differ? The S&P 500 and Nasdaq-100 use market-cap-based weighting rules; the Dow is price-weighted. Their constituent counts and methodologies differ.
- What Does Partial Basket History Mean?A chart may have less history than expected when comparable observations are unavailable. Exact causes depend on the symbol, feed, timeframe, and app version.
- How Do I Read Trend Matrix 360 Conditions? The desktop development preview has four EMA directions and nine descriptive conditions across two independent panels.
- How Do I Use Candle Pulse Fixed and Rolling?Fixed uses scheduled candle intervals; Rolling uses trailing windows ending at the latest available basket observation.
- Understanding All, Down, Up, Impact, and Biggest MoversAll shows the selected basket; Down and Up group by direction; Impact emphasizes weighted contribution; Biggest Movers ranks by the chosen movement measure.
- Reading the Summary Above Each TabThe summary pairs participation counts and positive, negative, or net impact context for the selected view. Values depend on the active basket and incoming data.
- How Are Stocks Ranked in Each View?Ranking depends on the selected tab and sort setting. The Biggest Movers view has its own movement measure; not every view uses raw percentage change.
- How Do I Change Between Area and Candlestick Charts?Use the chart-type selector in the chart toolbar and choose Area or Candlestick. The separate stock chart also exposes these two chart styles.
- How Do I Select a Chart Timeframe?Choose an interval from the timeframe control above the chart. Available history and detail can differ by symbol, feed, and chosen interval.
- How Do I Zoom, Reset, or Expand a Chart?Use the chart toolbar's zoom, reset, and expand controls. In the separate stock chart, zoom changes how many bars are visible while keeping the latest price in view.
- How Do I Open a Pop-Out Stock Chart?Open a symbol's separate native chart from its stock-card interaction. The pop-out is a desktop window with its own chart controls.
- How Do I Read a Stock Card?A card brings together the symbol, available price and change, bid/ask when supplied, index weight, point sensitivity, contribution, and a compact chart.
- How Do I Change Sorting and Find a Stock?Use the dashboard sort selector and Find field above the stock cards. Sort choices and matching results depend on the active view.
- Why Does a Chart Look Different From the Stock's Price Chart?A weighted index-movement chart and a raw stock-price chart measure different things and may use different baselines.
- What Do Positive and Negative Contribution Colors Mean?Green marks positive contribution and red marks negative contribution in the current display theme. Color describes direction, not a recommendation.
- How Do I Open Settings? The Settings menu contains workspace preferences. Exact items can vary by release; use the current installed app's menu labels.
- How Do I Switch Between Light and Dark Themes? The View menu includes appearance controls. A current release walkthrough is needed before exact click-by-click theme steps are published.
- How Do I Adjust Cards per Row?Use the Rows control above the stock-card grid to change how many rows are displayed. The layout reflows to fit the application window.
- How Do I Change Card Size?Card sizing controls are version-sensitive. This guide is reserved for the current Settings labels and their actual effects.
- How Do I Adjust Zoom? The dashboard and chart have distinct sizing controls. Use the visible zoom selector or chart zoom buttons for the view you want to change.
- How Do I Resize the Application Window?Resize the native Windows window from its edge or title bar. Supported minimum sizes and layout behavior should be checked against your display.
- How Do I Change My Selected Stock Count? The combined-chart basket menu offers All, Top 10, Top 15, Top 20, and Top 30 from the followed S&P stocks. Manage the followed list under Settings → Stocks & Tabs → Stock list.
- How Do I Change Chart Preferences?Chart style, timeframe, and view controls are available in the relevant chart toolbar. Persistent preference behavior needs a release-specific check.
- How Do I Restore Default Settings?A reset/default action has not been verified. Do not delete settings files or use an undocumented reset procedure.
- How Do I Use Market Watch 360 on Multiple Monitors?Arrange and resize the main workspace and supported native chart windows across Windows displays. Detailed multi-monitor behavior still needs testing.
- How Do I Request a Free 14-Day Trial?Use the Request a free trial page on this website. In the local preview, the form saves a request locally; it does not issue a license or start the trial.
- When Does My 14-Day Trial Begin? The stated trial period begins when a trial software license is activated, not when a visitor submits a request. License activation is not connected on this local site.
- Do I Need a Credit Card for the Free Trial? The trial itself has no Market Watch 360 software charge. Payment-card collection is not part of the local trial request form.
- What Happens When My Trial Expires? The account-specific expiration and next step depend on the final license system. Trial access is not started or managed by this local website.
- How Do I Activate My Software License? The final activation flow depends on the licensing backend, which is not connected. Do not follow activation steps from an unverified source.
- How Do I Check My License Status? The development preview's About dialog says ‘License status: Not available in this build.’ Customer license validation has not been implemented.
- Can I Move My License to Another Computer?Device transfer rules are not finalized. Contact support through the separate help form when it becomes available; do not assume a device limit.
- What Happens if I Reinstall Windows or Replace My PC?Activation recovery steps depend on the final license service and device-transfer policy, which are still under development.
- How Do I Contact Support About a Suspended License?Use the Contact Us form and select License or activation. A support request does not automatically reinstate a license.
- What Does Market Watch 360 Cost? The selected software model is a free 14-day trial, $29.95 monthly, or $299 upfront including year one with a required $95 annual continuation from year two. Checkout and licensing are not active.
- How Does the $29.95 Monthly Subscription Work? The pricing draft describes a month-to-month software license. Billing, account management, and cancellation controls are not connected on this local website.
- What Does the $299 Upfront Purchase Include? The pricing draft lists the first year with the upfront purchase and a required $95 annual continuation fee beginning in year two. Final terms remain under review.
- Why Is There a Required $95 Annual Fee?Under the selected $299 upfront model, year one is included and $95 annually is required from year two for continued software access. Renewal billing and license enforcement are not active.
- When Is My Annual Maintenance Fee Due?Timing and account-specific billing details must come from the final checkout and billing system; those services are not connected here.
- How Do I Cancel a Monthly Subscription?Online cancellation steps are not available until the billing system is connected. Do not claim a cancellation control exists on this local website.
- Do You Offer Refunds? The current billing policy is a draft and must be read with applicable law. Review the Billing, Cancellations & Refunds page for the current local draft.
- How Do I Update My Payment Method? There is no customer billing portal connected to this local website. Payment-method update steps will be added after the billing service is selected.
- What Happens if a Payment Fails?Retry timing, notifications, and license effects depend on the future billing integration and final policy.
- Are Market-Data Fees Included?Market-data provider charges and permissions are separate from Market Watch 360 software pricing. Check the terms of your own Alpaca account.
- Market Watch 360 Will Not OpenCollect the application version and the exact visible error. Use only the official installer and safe Windows troubleshooting steps.
- Windows Displays an Installation or Security WarningDo not disable antivirus, SmartScreen, or other Windows security protections. Confirm the installer source and publisher before proceeding.
- The Application Says DisconnectedCheck the app's connection status, local network availability, and whether the Alpaca key pair is still valid. Never paste credentials into support.
- The App Is Connected but Prices Are Not UpdatingA connected status does not guarantee every symbol has a new quote. Check session state, feed permissions, symbol coverage, and network availability.
- Some Stock Cards Have Missing InformationQuote fields depend on feed coverage and available data. Compare the affected symbol, field, timeframe, and market session.
- The Chart Appears Frozen or EmptyCheck the data connection, selected symbol, interval, and available history before treating a chart as an application failure.
- The Market Is Open but the App Still Shows Old DataCompare the connection state, quote feed, session, and the data timestamp available in the app. Report the affected symbol and time without secrets.
- I Cannot Find a StockCheck the selected basket and active tab, then use the Find control. A symbol outside the selected basket may not appear in that view.
- Some Charts Have Limited or Partial HistoryHistory depends on symbol, feed access, interval, and available observations. The exact application behavior still needs release-by-release review.
- The Window or Controls Do Not Fit My ScreenTry resizing the window and reviewing the current display zoom and row settings. Do not edit configuration files unless support directs you.
- A Pop-Out Chart Does Not Open or Display ProperlyConfirm the selected symbol and application window state, then reopen the chart once. Record the app version and any visible error.
- The App Feels Slow or Uses Too Many ResourcesNote the app version, market session, number of visible cards, and whether a chart is open. Close unrelated high-load work only if safe.
- What Information Should I Send When Reporting a Bug?Describe what you expected, what happened, the app version, Windows version, and steps that reproduce the issue. Do not include secrets or financial account details.
- How Do I Report a Calculation That Looks Incorrect?Include the S&P basket, symbol, displayed units, feed, session/time, and a cleared screenshot if available. The current app does not calculate official SPX, Nasdaq-100, or Dow values.
