The Market Is Open but the App Still Shows Old Data
Compare the connection state, quote feed, session, and the data timestamp available in the app. Report the affected symbol and time without secrets.
What problem does this solve?
A displayed price looks old while the regular market is active.
Quick answer
A stale-looking value may reflect the selected venue's lack of a recent eligible trade, feed entitlement, or a client connection problem. A market-open label alone cannot identify which.
Steps
- Read the event timestamp for the affected symbol where available.
- Compare another active symbol on the same feed.
- Check the app connection status separately from the market-session label.
- Compare the same last-trade field and timestamp against the same feed if possible.
What you should see
A single-symbol gap can be separated from a stream-wide update problem.
If it still doesn't work
Send the symbol, exact time, feed, app version, and redacted status or error message to support.
