Market data connections
Why Does the App Say Market Closed?
Market-session status and connection status answer different questions. A closed-market label does not by itself mean your data connection has failed.
What problem does this solve?
The app says the market is closed and you are unsure whether the provider connection stopped.
Quick answer
Market session and data connection are separate statuses. The market can be closed while the provider remains connected; prices may simply have no new regular-session update.
Steps
- Read the connection indicator and market-session text separately in the top status strip.
- If the connection shows disconnected, open Connect → API Key… and check the test and status information.
- If the connection is active, compare the displayed values with the session and feed you expect.
What you should see
The app can show a connected provider beside a closed-market session. A session label alone is not proof of an API credential problem.
If it still doesn't work
Record the app version, session label, connection status, and affected symbol. Do not send credentials or describe an old value as live.
