Understanding a Stock Card

A stock card brings a symbol's price action and index context together. Read its ticker, change, available quote fields, reference weight, estimated contribution, and small chart as distinct pieces of information.

Start with the symbol and price

A ticker identifies a security, not necessarily a unique company; Alphabet's GOOG and GOOGL are two share classes. The displayed last price can differ from bid and ask, and from another platform using a different feed or session.

Read influence separately

The card's Index weight comes from IVV holdings; Pts/$1 estimates S&P points for a hypothetical one-dollar stock move; SP500 shows that stock's estimated S&P point effect. These are different units. The app follows the S&P 500 basket only.

Use the chart as context

The mini-chart shows that stock's move against its previous close. Click the ticker, or focus it and press Enter or Space, to open a native stock chart. Confirm the final release layout before relying on a screenshot.
