Real-Time Market Data

Your Own Alpaca Connection

Customers use their own Alpaca accounts and enter API credentials locally in the Market Watch 360 desktop app. The public website does not ask for keys and does not stream customers' market data.

The connection belongs in the desktop app

Alpaca controls the customer's market-data plan, credentials, and feed entitlements. Market Watch 360 displays and analyzes the data available through that connection. It is display-only software and does not place trades.

Keep secrets out of support requests

A support ticket may need the app version, selected feed, approximate time, and a description of an error. It should never include an API key, secret, password, or full credential-dialog screenshot. If a key has been shared accidentally, rotate it through Alpaca's account controls.

Expect provider limits

In the current development preview, open Connect → API Key…, enter the API Key ID and Secret Key, choose Paper trading or Live, select Test connection, then Save. The pair is stored in Windows Credential Manager. IEX is the default one-exchange feed; SIP access depends on entitlement, and SIP delayed is a separate feed choice. Recheck these steps against the release build.
